Song of the Week: Jan 27-Feb 3

Listening to this today, I thought that maybe a great definition of Mastery is effortless control. Miles (& Co.) give us that in this famous piece.

Probably the greatest jazz record of all time. NPR jazz profiles did a great show on the recording sessions of this album, it was a whole 2 days if you can believe it! A great show, I think it's still up as a podcast.

My favorite part is when, Miles stops everything in the middle of a number because someone played a chord and he says "Don't play no chords man". In that Miles voice it just sounds so coooooool.
